All AAIA members are invited to attend one or both of the popular AIA Seminars at AAPEX. The seminars are free and include continental breakfast, but reservations are needed. On Tuesday, Nov. 4, 7:45 a.m. – 9 a.m., “Selling Parts for Imports: Did You Ever Consider Listening to Your Customer? The Installer's View,” will feature a diverse panel of shop owners, regional buyers and car care professionals, who deal daily with parts stores and counter people, and who will specify what they want and need from their auto parts suppliers. Former AIA chairman Marty Gold, S-G Imported Car Parts, will moderate. Panelists will include: Mitch Schneider, Schneider Automotive, Simi Valley, Calif.; Vic Tarasik, owner, Vic’s Precision Automotive, The Woodlands, Texas; Carlos Rodriguez, operations manager, Ted Wiens Firestone, Las Vegas, Nev.; and Stacy Le Piere, CFO/owner, Midas of Las Vegas.
In past years, this popular seminar has been driven by audience participation and it is encouraged throughout the session. This is a great opportunity to join the discussion and hear from the guys on the front lines. This is the seminar that will have you saying to yourself and others, “I can't wait to get back to my store and talk with my people; we are going to make some changes.”
On Thursday, Nov. 6, 7:45 a.m. – 9 a.m., Henry Allessio, Walden Consultants, Ltd., will present “Selling to the U.S. Aftermarket: Getting It Right.” The session will share valuable advice as it outlines the opportunities in a complex aftermarket roadmap. Vinay Mamidi, general manager, CSF, Inc. will share his company’s experience “getting it right” in the U.S. aftermarket.
Both sessions will be held in the Sands Expo Center, rooms 303/304. To register, visit www.aapexshow.com and click “Schedule of Events,” locate the seminar and click where indicated to register. For further questions, contact Lee Kadrich at 301-654-6664 or e-mail lee.kadrich@aftermarket.org.
