AIA Person Of The Year Award

The AIA Person of the Year award honors an individual for his or her outstanding contributions to the industry and to the Auto International Association during the past 12-month period preceding the selection of the current year's award recipient. There shall be no more than one individual per year honored as the AIA Person of the Year.

Qualifications for Award
An individual must meet or exceed all of the following requirements to be considered for the AIA Person of the Year award.

  1. The candidate must be from within the import aftermarket industry sector and shall not be employed in the field of public relations nor be deemed a public relations person.
  2. An individual can win the award more then one time, provided the person qualifies for a second nomination by virtue of the aforementioned Purpose. A period of five years must elapse before an individual can be nominated for a second or subsequent Person of the Year award.
  3. An individual should not be considered for the Person of the Year honors for historical industry contributions, as provided for in the AIA Hall of Fame criteria. The individual's performance during the preceding 12-month period is to be considered by the committee.
  4. A candidate cannot be a member of the Awards Committee.
